A highly developed product we manufacture is a thermal shock test rig. This
equipment was designed and approved for testing clay flue liners to the European
Standard : EN1457 Chimneys - Product Standard For Clay Ceramic Flue Liners.
The test rig is a small self contained kiln consisting of a small combustion air fan, a single 2 therm gas burner and automatic control panel. The rig has an air bypass system giving very high excess air when needed which allows for near perfect temperature control. Since this is a test rig it also has full instrumentation to monitor flows and pressures and also has a chart recorder fitted as standard.
