Our electric shuttle (or intermittent) kilns are renowned for reliability and
accurate temperature distribution. All our kilns, both gas and electric are
manufactured from substantial rolled steel sections. The frames are not
manufactured from folded sections. Since a large area of our business is
relocating kilns, we are aware of the problems moving a kiln can cause. For this
reason our kilns are designed to be easily transported and moved around, even
after many years of service.
Our electric shuttle kilns have ceramic fibre linings punctuated with element support bricks which are designed to be easily removed and replaced should one get damaged. The elements themselves are supported between the bricks on ceramic tubes, not trays. This method helps to keep the elements level and not to fall over flat or warp into undesirable shapes.
The control system uses the latest instrumentation and solid state relays. The kilns are generally multizone, but are designed to requirements.
